Mimic and the Great Kellie: Changeling and Kelpie

Time for.. MORE OCs I never got to draw! and something I put off for a long time... drawing a freaking Changeling! It is not like I hate them.. I just... think there are too many of them... so I made one more!

Anyways, let me tell you about these two, and then I shall explain my crazy logic as to why I made these two.

The Great Kellie:

A female water spirit that has been an unofficial prisoner of Hope's Asylum, and its Guardian for centuries now. Until recently, only two ponies knew of her crimes, and no one who knew would tell her adopted nephew, Blitzen the Kirin, anything further than, "She used to be pure evil!"

The truth was revealed by her recently betrothed, Mimic the Changeling. Both confesses to their past crimes, but the Kelpies was far more heinous. In legend now, there once existed Sea Ponies, Ponies that sand and help past ponies on land when things needed help in the realm of the water. however, a fierce dragon always hunted them, but never was successful, until meeting her.

The Kelpie was not only a trickster, but often behaved like a Succubi, tempting stallions and mares alike with her beautiful illusionary outside, only to consume them greedily. It was the deceptive power she used to convince the Sea Ponies she was friendly, only to betray them, and over years, force them to either be eaten, or breed to make more food! The dragon got its fill, and She remained for over twenty years, consuming the population to near extinction...

Princess Celestia, a friend of the Sea-born ponies somehow discovered these crimes, and though the species was lost, her anger rose. Spirits normally cannot be killed, as they live on a different plane of existence, but Celestia discovered a way of doing something to control, and yes, inflict pain, on the spirit. Still, a being of mercy, and missing her own Sister, she chose to send the evil spirit away in isolation, able to age, to be harmed.. but never truly able to rest in peace (although she cannot die, she is NOT an undead... just immortal with a passive twist of invincibility).

Time has changed the spirit, and when she took in a small fire Kirin, who would later grow, and care for another Lightning Kirin, slowly, the Kelpie discovered how to care for others. Later, she met Mimic, and oddly, fell for the Changeling, having his own demons to fight. She is unsure if he truly "loves" her, but protects him as she does anypony else in Hope's Asylum.

Kelie commonly disguises her true form (seen in the reflection above), as a plain white pony, although at times, she does fancy herself up and shape-shifts into a more beautiful form. She loves Mimic and Blitzen more than anything, and preps for Blitzen, to one day, take over, and control the hidden sanctuary she holds dear..

Mimic, the Changeling:

Unlike his mate, the Changeling's crimes are still only known by two ponies, lil Blitzen, and his future wife. All that is known, is he was a rouge Changeling, who was allowed to live in the hidden town, provided he never steal love, but earn it, by doing nice things, or favors for appreciative citizens.

Oddly, the love he gets from Kellie, while filling, often makes the Changeling sick, as too much tends to me given at times. mimic, in response, has learned to share and give the love to other Changelings who live in the town, and they live in peace, although how many are known only to him, and the Kirins.

Blitzen finds the pony (as he often disguises himself in town as a plain brown pegasus) odd, and was the first to discover the Changeling and his "Auntie" were together, by a curious accident. Mimic resents this, and has expressed his anger whenever the colt teases him about what he saw (although Blitzen, being a proper colt, would never tell anypony else). Kellie calms the two, and often plays the peacemaker.

Also unique to Mimic, is a fuller body. Having a source of daily love and other emotions, the creature is very well off, and fed properly, unlike many others in his old nest. This does sadden him, and expression of 'public love' between himself and Kellie are shunned, as he does not want to flaunt his excessive diet.

Now serves as the Guardian of Hope's Asylum's Night Watch, with Hermes the HippoGriff, as well as others.

This pic shows the two far and away from any town and place known by most ponies. The area of Equestria and Everfree has many underground waterways, and Mimic travels with the water creature through to secret places they know about only. Mimic insists their love is to be kept secret, but after another Changeling told where he got his love, Kellie insisted they marry, or at least say the vows in front of town.

Well, that is a lil bio on these two characters. I wanted to make "reformed evil" characters a part of my selection of characters. Despite the darkness (and a horrible story I once wrote then removed, then edited heavily..) I still love Kellie as a character to counter the very noble Blitzen's nature.
